Friday's Photo

So we bought our first DSLR camera recently and that means I haven't been taking photos with my iPhone.. While it means great photos for the blog (oh, and for our honeymoon!)... it also means that I have to physically connect the camera and upload photos which we're far too busy to do at the moment!

Instead, I'm going to share this ADORABLE image from

Priority for this week?

We've only got a short 19 days until the wedding!! There's still a few projects that need to be finished up but all the major stuff is done and packed away ready to deliver to the venue!

One thing I still have on my to-do list is to do some shopping for clothes to take on the honeymoon!! Now this might not be super exciting for most of you, but for me..... I haven't been shopping for MONTHS now so I have a feeling that I'm going to be like a kid in a candy store!

I've figured out a little bit of a plan of the types of items I want to get that will be really versatile while we're away so they can be worn on hot steamy days but also layered up in case it gets a bit cooler in the evenings.  I'm also wanting items that will fit back into my current wardrobe that I can wear day-to-day.

I managed to pick up a few things last week but I'm still on the look out for some more casual items.... and an excuse to keep shopping!!

Sheer Blouse

Drapy day dress for shopping or tours etc

Flirty Skirt

Casual over sized tee

Stripey tee

Cropped pant

Casual shorts

Adorable sandals

Now here's hoping that I'll be able to find some of these summery pieces in the middle of winter!

Keeping it Real

It's been a month since I've published a post and it's not because I haven't been thinking about my little blog, I do think about it and each time I do, I promise myself that I'm not going to let my first post back be filled with awful excuses.

The truth is that I've been feeling overwhelmed lately. The wedding is completely consuming every spare minute of time that I have and with only 23 days to go, I feel like I'm drowning in a list of things I'm still yet to do.

Jordan and I have talked about it and he's been fantastic in taking a more active role in helping out (going as far as rounding program corners and formating my beverage menu all while watching the big State of Origin football game on tv last night!).

I'm an absolute control freak and up until this point have had to plan, design and execute everything myself (with a little help from Jordan and my mum). The last two weeks I've finally been able to let go, ask for help and even delegate!

I know that I have the love and support of our family and friends, and I've felt really guilty that I haven't been involving them more in the wedding but that's all changing. My support team are excited to be able to help and contribute, and I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders!

I have a heap of posts to share with you and starting next week, I'll be back on the blog, posting regularly and excited to be here!

Rose xx
